Support Server

Before setting up fun-bots, you need to have a Venice Unleashed server setup. How do I setup a Venice Unleashed server? Please note that we cannot help you with setting up your Venice Unleashed server.

💻 Hardware Requirements

We recommend at least the following hardware:

Type Minimum requirements Recommended requirements
Operating System Windows 7 or newer, Wine 5.0 or newer -
CPU 3 GHz > 3 GHz
Memory (RAM) 1 GB 2 GB

Note that the hardware requirements depend on the amount of bots you are going to activate on your server. Venice Unleashed is single-threaded on 32-bit. The higher the tickrate (GHz) of your CPU, the less lag you'll experience. The server is never going to use more than 4 GB of RAM because it's 32-bit.

Installing fun-bots on your server

Before downloading fun-bots, read the documentation on how to use mods.

🌐 Downloading fun-bots

Download the version you'd like to use for fun-bots. We recommend to download a stable release if you plan on running it on a public server, but usually pre-releases are stable enough too.

Type URL Description
Releases (recommended) Download here The most stable version, has a long release cycle
Pre-Releases Download here Less stable, contains more features, but also may contain more issues
Development Builds Download here Untested versions of fun-bots, fresh from the development team

🖱️ Installing it

Installing fun-bots is extremely easy. Unpack the compressed file into the Admin/mods directory (see the documentation on mods). It should look like this after on Windows, but your folder name may look different (the 4 numbers after fun-bots are the version you downloaded).

Open the ModList.txt file using a text editor and add the name of your file to the list.
