Describe your bug here. If you are modding, try testing your bug in a clean version of the engine instead. Also, if you're using an older version of JSE, please try the latest version/action build. Also, be sure to check the pinned 'JS Engine: Known Issues' issue, to check if your issue hasn't already been found!

i just got a tablet for christmas and i wanted to put js engine on it
so i downloaded the ios port of the engine
i put it on the home screen...........and (Sorry for the sonic watch ahh quality)
Screenshot 2024-12-25 222238
it keeps saying its N.ot safe
if you were wondering it says
"This app cannot be installed because its integrity could not be verified."

Command Prompt/Terminal/Crash logs (if existing)

More info to add: The IOS version of new JS Engine he is trying to install either "isn't from a trusted source" or that "the app file itself is corrupted".

My guess is that the build is corrupted or Apple could just be a huge dick.

iOS apps that aren't from the app store have a much different installation process, you can't just install it through itunes

however, i know how to install apps outside the appstore and can give instructions (special thanks to the Sonic Runners Revival website for giving instructions!)

requirements

  • a computer
  • an apple device (to put it on)
  • the jse ipa

for your pc:

Installing it

  1. open sideloadly
  2. plug your ios device into your computer. if it prompts you to trust the pc, follow the prompts to trust it
  3. drag-n-drop the JSE IPA into the Sideloadly window.
  4. enter your Apple ID & password. don't worry, they're ONLY used to authenticate with Apple and aren't saved.
  5. check that it's actually installed.

You can't open it yet! if you try it'll prompt you to trust the application. to do this, follow these steps:

  1. on the ios device, go to Settings > General > Profile and Device Management > Your Apple ID
  2. select "Trust"

after doing that, JSE will now be playable on your device.

if you're on iOS 16 or later, you must also do these steps if you haven't already:

  1. On your device, navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Developer Mode
  2. Turn the "Developer Mode" toggle on, then select "Restart".
  3. After your device restarts, select "Turn On"
If your device has a passcode, you'll need to enter it to enable DM.

IMPORTANT

due to Apple's restrictions with installing apps, any apps you sideload will only work for 7 days (1 week) at a time. if the 7 days expires (trying to open the app will tell you "This App is No Longer Available"), you must follow these instructions again to resign it for another week.
why does apple complicate this process so much? i have no idea LOL
