The first two commits in this PR upgrades the addon to work in Godot 4.2. Subsequent changes are nice-to-have refactors such as making the code statically typed and using the Godot 4 setget pattern.

Functionality wise nothing changes with these upgrades (at least not intentionally 🙇), and the demo scene seem to work just as before the changes applied.
