Incosistent CommSat bus power consumption #2419

  1. The R&D upgrade has been purchased to reduce CommSat bus power consumption to 0.2W, but in VAB Kerbalism still calculates the power consumption based on 30W and predicts a battery life of 55min

  2. When the CommSat bus is in-play and loaded (as the active craft or not), the power consumption rate is correct

  3. When the CommSat bus is unloaded, however, the power consumption reverts to the unupgraded level of 30W
    image

  4. Even in loaded state, the power consumption seems to be reduced to 0.4W, not the advertised 0.2W
    image
    (the 300mW is from TL1 comm)

  • If you have KOS installed, the KOS computer also takes 0.2W.
