Filters way too strict

It disables Google apps. Google Play, Steam on Windows, social websites. All 3 are way too comprehensive. Tried whitelisting but it's too much work. Why the lists can't focus on game telemetry? How do you guys use it?

It'd be nice if Main filter did not include games.

Even if the entry is older:

Everything works on Steam despite several entries. As usual. However, the Steam category has been cleaned up a bit and some old entries will be removed with the next update.

As already mentioned in several posts, the lists are sometimes very strict, e.g. Facebook is almost completely blocked. Other things are also completely blocked. Programs or services have been given names for orientation, including individual categories for better orientation. Users have to customize the lists according to their own needs, if necessary.

As you cannot navigate in the hosts list itself, this is possible via the website https://hosts.gameindustry.eu/ (Attention, depending on the security environment, false/positive messages). The navigation button to open the menu is located at the bottom right.

As example, navigate to "Game Clients" or "Spieleclients aktueller Anbieter" for gaming stuff in the Main-Template. Or just use the Gaming-Full-Template which contains nothing else.

Thank you. I've noticed there are blocklists clean up here. These don't require antiwhitelist. I will be monitoring the base lists too. Thank you for your input.

Yes, AngryTux has the permission since we were in consultation with each other.

Otherwise, if something is urgently needed or questions arise, you can ask them at any time. Would not be the first changes that have been made in the lists retrospectively, provided they are comprehensible and justified. Depending on that, it would also be less work for the Tux ;]
