Working with IMC

Introduction

The IMC specification is maintained as a separate project at https://www.github.com/LSTS/imc. This repository has two XML documents that are used by DUNE, namelly IMC.xml and IMC_Addresses.xml. Other software also uses these XML documents and IMC versions should be synchronized regularly (i.e., Neptus, ACCU). DUNE uses these XML documents to generate C++ code, and therefore does not need them at run-time.

Updating IMC

We will use an example to illustrate how to update the IMC version used by DUNE.
