Only allow 1 submenu

Bug report

What I did:

public function parent()
{
    return $this->belongsTo(SubMenu::class, 'parent_id')
        ->whereDoesntHave('children');
}

What I expected to happen:

$this->crud->addField([
    'label' => 'Parent',
    'type' => 'select',
    'name' => 'parent_id',
    'entity' => 'parent',
    'attribute' => 'name',
    'model' => SubMenu::class,
]);

I assumed that this would return only entries that don't already have a parent?

What happened:

It returned every entry.

Backpack, Laravel, PHP, DB version:

Laravel 10.28, PHP 8.2

Agh, managed to fix this by doing the following:

$this->crud->addField([

    'type' => 'select',
    'name' => 'parent_id',
    'entity' => 'parent',
    'attribute' => 'name',
    'model' => SubMenu::class,
    'options' => (function($query) {
        return $query->whereDoesntHave('parent')->get();
    })
]);
