I spent 2 weeks installing KDE tools/base tools on my Ubuntu build, lots aptitude adjusting (ver 6 to 8 tried) . Its very limited, was expecting a better set of tools. (like the comparable Windows version..)
Points:
GUI is just a linear graph, why not a cure of heaver fan use-speed at high temps?
I was looking for % fan use, not rpms numbers
Why not the ability to test each fan (high-low speed) under GUI, allow for fine tuning. (write back option to fancontol config file when done )
Can you move over different framework, GNOME (where all the folks are)
Why is not build/created for Ubuntu package install.
I am just so surprised you folks are the only game in town here linked to fancontol. Big opportunity for the project. Only when I installed the full Plasma-KDE desktop did your tool work/appear functional. Now I have a bloated Ubuntu build with lackluster results.
