  • @ligiabernardet wanted an update and some understanding of a memo sent by Andrew Conley on April 28.
  • @gold2718 said that ACOM developers want an object-oriented, run-time configurable chemistry system.
  • The memo outlines a non-technical concern that the CCPP may prevent that goal.
  • @gold2718 talked about a meeting on April 30 with the ACOM developers to understand their concerns.
  • The proposed solution, embodied in issue #282, should meet their needs as well as the needs of host models.
  • @gold2718 thinks that the chemistry developers see a path forwards to implementing their vision with the CCPP as the interface.
  • @gold2718's recommendation is that this memo is treated as an FYI which requires no formal response.
• @ligiabernardet pointed out that Michael Duda is the NCAR backup representative but does not participate in the framework meetings.
