- How best to make sure both teams are in sync with each others activities and priorities?
- Review of open issues
- Review and assign PRs that need attention
Comments:
- Main problems are A. We have no resources to address most of these issues B. Capgen being incomplete is blocking most active development
- Some discussion about SIMA review purgatory
- Capgen differences from existing prebuild
- Items that are different in prebuild but UFS would be willing to adopt
- Items added for UFS needs and NCAR wants or is willing to adopt
- Items added for UFS that NCAR/CGD does not need
Action items:
- Mike will go through issues and see if any are in need of further discussion in 2 weeks
- In future meetings, we will discuss new issues and if any more action items are needed.
- Priority items
- Unit tests!
- What items in the framework are most important to the people who are funded to work on this?
- DTC (discuss at Thursday meeting)
- NCAR CGD (results of SIMA review?)
- NCAR MMM
- CM1
- MPAS?
- NCAR other?
- As discussed previously, ccpp-framework Wiki is very out-of-date in places
- Mike has made some updates where needed, but needs feedback on some pages:
- Replaced gmtb-help@ucar.edu (unmonitored?) and linked to discussions pages
- Need to update and expand the Development Workflow page, especially with regards to testing
- Need to update Governance
- Should we still link to the CCPP requirements page? It has basically no current info, but it could be a nice place to store details for someone looking to start with an existing scheme and make it CCPP-compliant. Requirements are nominally in the Tech Doc, but that is currently lacking in detail and completeness.
Action items:
- Open issues in repo about the above issues
- Is there any objection to keeping these meeting notes in Google Docs? The live updating feature is quite useful for note-taking
- Use screen-sharing instead
- Mike Kavulich will be the screen-sharer and note-taker going forward
