      • 10am Wednesday or 9am Thursday is the next best (5 can not make it)

Notes

Discussion on proposed meeting time.

  • Wednesday 3pm (MT).
  • Next meeting in two-weeks.
  • Ligia will reach out to folks at EMC about this time.

Any news from Adam on funding some of Dom’s time at CGD?

Notes on code unification:

From Ligia, PRs need to go between the development forks/branches, capgen development -> ccpp-prebuild Open issues associated with PRs. Historically, Steve and Dom had organized a spreadsheet to mange the framework code. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u_yA9PyG9aVHMvlXDjmVIaxcgaKo2nR7NPVV2Kmw0Ck/edit#gid=0 DTC can help with development, a bit.

Mike, what is the status of capgen development? Courtney, working with a fork of Steve, will need to get into the capgen branch of the NCAR ccpp-framework fork.

Merge Steve’s branch into feature_capgen branch.

When will the switch from ccpp-prebuild to capgen? Incremental transition?
Can both capgen and prebuild coexist in the same repository?

Start there, see if UFS breaks. Dustin can help testing in UFS once feature_capgen is ready to roll.

Courtney, should be down with adding constituents to capgen next week.

Cheryl on standard names. Dom, we need to play nice and be open to users needs.

Dom. Test in the SCM as well. Dustin will help.

ACTION: Courtney will open issue for updating feature_capgen with Steves work.

Courtney and Steve decided to revisit the issue discussed last week, “input_name_list” in metadata. This was a list of variable names, aliases, to be read in. For now using input with fields that match the standard_name
