Magmanimous Guide
Nether Merchants are a new mob added by Magmanimous. Based off of piglins, these merchants barter using Netherite Ingots.
To create a Nether Merchant, a player must feed a golden carrot to a baby piglin while it has a strength effect applied. Shortly afterwards, the baby piglin will grow into a Nether Merchant. Be careful not to attack these merchants, as they have more health and armor than a normal piglin and do not offer any special drops.
Among the drops offered by Nether Merchants is the Nether Catalyst, a magical item used to start the crafting processes used in a Nether Forge.
The Nether Forge Pedestal is a core component of the Nether Forge. When right-clicked with an item, the pedestal will take the item and display it.
The Magma Tank is another core component of the Nether Forge by serving as its fuel tank. The Magma Tank will store magma blocks that are right-clicked on it. These blocks are used as fuel to start Nether Forge Recipes. The cost to craft an item is shown in the recipe for that item in the Slimefun Guide.
The Nether Forge is a 3x3x3 multiblock machine which allows players to craft Nether Forge Recipes.
The structure is constructed in two parts:
This layer has a Nether Forge Pedestal in the center, surrounded by inwards-facing Polished Blackstone Stairs.
This layer has a Magma Tank in the center, surrounded by inwards-facing, upside-down Polished Blackstone Stairs.
Once fully constructed, the structure will look like this:
If the structure is constructed incorrectly, the missing block and its location will be identified in the chat window when a player attempts to craft using it.
Nether Catalysts are used to start the Nether Forge's crafting processes. If the Nether Forge is correctly constructed, interacting with the Nether Forge Pedestal with a Nether Catalyst will process the item hosted by the pedestal, if it is in a supported recipe.
Items produced by the Nether Forge are the end-game items of Magmanimous. All of these recipes require a Nether Catalyst to initiate the crafting process.
Attunement only requires the base material of the item to match, while all item names, lore, enchantments, etc. are be preserved. When a player obtains a full set of attuned armor, any type of fire damage will give the player positive potion effects that buff the player.
The Portal Star is an item that allows players to teleport to any location in the nether or overworld. To bind the star to their current location, a player must sneak and right click while holding the star. When a player enters a nether portal while holding a bound star, they will teleport to that location.
There are some other items included to make Magmanimous a bit more exciting.
The combustion potion sets the drinker on fire for one minute, making it useful for triggering Attuned Armor effects.
