Session Persistence / Sticky Sessions

I've been looking for this, our company is currently using an old Microsoft ARR server and there we have the option to to keep sessions going to the same webfarm server every time for a session. I've found that you can do this through Nginx with Session Persistence, can this be handled through NPM? Is it something that we could add through the advanced settings (I've got no real knowledge about Nginx so if it's possible I would need either some help or a link to a document)? I've read that it's an advanced feature in Nginx so I believe that NPM might be able to handle it, or am I just being overly optimistic?
