NG Extension Manager

NG Extension Manager is a secure browser extension open-sourced on September 24, 2024 by Nitra Global, designed to manage your browser extensions with privacy, ease, and efficiency.

🛑 Important Announcement: Archive Status

As of January 2025, NG Extension Manager has been discontinued. No new major features or active development will be implemented going forward. However, we will continue to provide essential maintenance and security patches as needed.

🚀 Base Features

🔹 Extension Details Page

  • Extension Information: View essential details of installed extensions, including:

    • Name, Version, Description
    • Homepage URL and Options Page URL
    • Enabled/Disabled Status
    • Manifest Version (if applicable)

  • Actions:

    • Enable/Disable extension
    • Uninstall extension

  • Permissions: View detailed permissions requested by the extension, with descriptions for each permission.

🔹 Popup Page

  • Provides a concise overview of your extensions directly from the browser toolbar.
  • Quick Access: Activate, deactivate, or uninstall extensions.
  • Visual Indicators: Easy-to-read status indicators for each extension.

🔹 Permissions Grid Layout

  • Extension permissions are displayed in an organized, grid-based layout for clarity.
  • Allows users to review what access each extension has, ensuring transparency.

🔹 Offline Support

  • Offline Mode: Now almost fully supported in all pages, allowing the extension to function without constant internet access.

🔒 Security

  • Privacy First: No data collection or tracking of user behavior.

📦 Installation

To install the NG Extension Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest version from the Releases page.
  2. Add the extension to your browser following the instructions for your specific browser.

📄 Roadmap

While no new features will be added, we are maintaining:

  • Security patches and bug fixes.
  • Compatibility updates for the latest browser versions.
