PROJECT: Knightfall - v1.8.0 BETA
Hey.
Nitrosteel here.
I'm excited to share the first public release of Knightfall since the 1.7.0.9 update 2 years ago. This beta-release unveils Knightfall's first dungeon in the game, and is meant to be an easy-to-access gateway to early Knightfall content as well as a way for me to gain feedback as I continue to work on the update.
Enjoy. :)
Head over to the Discord if you have feedback to share.
FEATURES
- Knightfall Encampment Dungeon
- VFX improvements, balance changes, and feature changes across all weapons.
- Updated UI elements and tooltips for most items.
- Major sprite-touch ups for weapons and props.
- Knightfall Crewmates
- And a lot of other changes I forgot and/or too lazy or too unimportant to document.
INSTALLATION
- Unsubscribe from the workshop version of Project: Knightfall. This is imperative as having both at once will cause conflicts.
- Drop the package inside your mods folder. You can find this under: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound
- IMPORTANT: If you already have a previous GitHub version installed, delete it first before installing this release. Overwriting files will cause problems.
That is all for now. Cheers. ☕

Upgrade 1.7.0 - The New Horizons Update
At last, after a grueling 7 months of non-stop design and development, Knightfall's 1.7.0 update is finally here!
With the 1.7.0 update comes a new beginning for Project Knightfall. It is not merely a weapons mod anymore, no, it's evolving into a fully fledged expansion and story mod for the Starbound universe, and 1.7.0 is the perfect start of this evolution; a transition to a new horizon.
Let's begin with the features! Included in this update are the following:
- A new tiering/progression and class system.
- 3 new armor sets, complimented with new helmets and decorative pieces.
- A large variety of powerful new weapons.
- New drones and pets.
- A large amount of new props and decorative objects.
- A new suite of stylish and futuristic blocks.
- An augments suite complete with 11 unique augments.
- An overhaul to the crafting and shop UIs.
- Powerful defensive turret emplacements.
- Major balance adjustments and changes.
- New vfx, sfx, and sprite adjustments for old items.
Upgrade 1.6.0 - The Gunships Update.
Project Knightfall's Upgrade 1.6.0 introduces 5 new powerful aircraft, ranging from the agile, nimble, and speedy Firehawk, the balanced, reliable, and powerful Gryphon, to the mighty, overloaded, and armed-to-the-teeth Seraph.
Besides the gunships, this update also introduces the Augmented, a batch of vanilla monsters enhanced and powered with Knightfall technology. These monsters are stronger and faster than their vanilla counterparts, but they still act and behave in a similar fashion to their vanilla counterparts.
This update also includes a fresh batch of new decorative items that can enhance your builds, as well as a variety of new weapons. The highlight of these new weapons are the new Prism Weapons, and Jetfire's Black Hole Tech. Utilizing the power of channeled light energy, Prism Weapons fire beams of light that refract from their initial target, with chances of hitting other enemies from unlikely angles. Black Hole Weapons harness the energy of Black Holes, allowing you to release large amounts of damaging energy that can decimate your opponents.
