License Agreement
The license agreement is a legal document that binds registered users to the website
Novelgeek to certain obligations contained herein. The license governs your use of the
Novelgeek website via the internet. We ask you to read this license agreement thoroughly
before you proceed using the website. The agreement shall apply only to the Novelgeek website
regardless of whether other software or services are referred to or described herein. These
terms also apply to updates, internet-based services for the website, unless stated otherwise.

1. Permitted use and restrictions
We hereby grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Novelgeek in
accordance with the terms of this agreement. You are permitted to use Novelgeek under your
control. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets requirements for using our website.
You are not permitted to:
● Reproduce, copy, distribute, resell or otherwise use the website for any commercial
purpose
● Allow any third party to use the website on behalf of or for the benefit of any third party
● Rent, lease or lend your account to anyone.
● Use the website in any way which breaches any applicable local, national or
international law
● Use the Software for any purpose that Novelgeek considers is a breach of this license
agreement
● Edit, alter, modify, adapt, translate or otherwise change the whole or any part of the
website nor permit the whole or any part of it to be combined with or become
incorporated in any other websites, nor decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the
website or attempt to do any such things
You may change the settings on your My Account page to control your profile and how other
members communicate with you. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other
users. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other
users. We shall have no liability for your interactions with other users, or for any user’s action or
inaction. Novelgeek shall at all times retain ownership of the website. The website(and the
copyright, and other intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the website, including any
modifications made thereto) are and shall remain the property of Novelgeek. Novelgeek
reserves the right to grant licences to use the website to third parties.

2. Third-party services
Novelgeek uses third-party services such as Google Books or Google Authentication that are
not owned or controlled by Novelgeek. Hence Novelgeek assumes no responsibility whatsoeverfor the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party websites or services. Furthermore,
Novelgeek may contain links to third-party websites and advertisers which are again not
controlled or owned by Novelgeek. If you access one of these websites then you are doing it at
your own risk. This Agreement and Novelgeek privacy policy do not apply to those websites.
Therefore you expressly relieve Novelgeek from any and all liability arising from your use of any
third-party website or services or third-party owned content.
Also, Novelgeek may publish work such as but not limited to short stories and fanfictions that
are done by Users/Authors that are registered in the system. Novelgeek is in no way
responsible for the content of those works and does not hold the copyrights to them.
Your User Content, the Service and all materials that come with them, including and without
limitation, software, images, text, graphics, illustrations, logos, patents, trademarks, service
marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all intellectual property rights are not
the exclusive property of Novelgeek.

3. Payments

3.1. Billing Policies
Most of the services provided by Novelgeek are free of charge but certain aspects of the
Service may be provided for a fee or other charge.
Novelgeek charges two hundred in Sri Lankan Rupees per book, on a monthly based plan for
featuring your books on the website and when a purchase is done through the system where a
buyer agrees to buy the product from another user and authorises the payment a fee of five
percent will be charged from the relevant sale or auction in benefit toward Novelgeek.
If you elect to use paid aspects of the Service, you agree to the pricing, payment and billing
policies applicable to such fees and charges, posted at here itself and at the website. Novelgeek
may add new services for additional fees and charges, or amend fees and charges for existing
services, at any time in its sole discretion.

3.2. No Refunds
You may cancel your Novelgeek Account at any time; however, there are no refunds for the
paid aspects that you have already used. As permitted under the terms of this Agreement,
Novelgeek has the right at any time for any reason or no reason to suspend or terminate your
Account, terminate this Agreement, and/or refuse any and all current or future use of the
Service without notice, refund, obligation, or liability to you. In the event that Novelgeek
suspends or terminates your Novelgeek Account or this Agreement, you understand and agree
that you shall receive no refund or exchange for any unused time on a paid aspect of the
Service, or for anything else.4. Confidentiality

4.1. Information privacy
When you use Novelgeek, You are trusting us with your information. We work hard to protect
any data we collected from you. When you create a Novelgeek account, you provide your Email
and password and we do not share any of your personal information with other companies,
organizations, or individuals outside of Novelgeek.
But you're responsible for any information you provide to a third party, Example for, if you share
your information through Novelgeek group chat, we are not responsible for that, it is you who is
responsible for sharing any information about you with anyone. Once you signed in with your
personal password and email, you can control the same actions like whether to display your
email address or not.
Novelgeek is built with strong security features that continuously protect your information and
we work hard to protect you from unauthorized access, Alteration, Disclosure or Destruction of
information we hold, We use various encryption and authorization techniques to ensure the
security of your data.

4.2. Payment privacy
The security of your payments depends on you keeping your account password, pins, and other
access information for the service confidential. If you share your account information with a third
party, he or she can access your account and your personal information. It is your responsibility
to use a mobile device or payments account on your device, including keeping your password or
pin confidential and not sharing it with anyone. The details you share with us will not be
revealed to anyone else.

5. Consent to use of data
We agree not to share user details we receive during the registration of a user with another
party without the consent of that particular user. However, any general information we collect
(which are not private user details) such as “what genres are users more interested in” or “what
kind of authors interest the users more”, will be used for the improvement of our services and
will be shared among other interested parties who are not harmful towards Novelgeek or it’s
users.
Novelgeek is in no way responsible for transactions of money done through our system and the
quality of products related to Book Sales and Auctioning Services that are provided by
Novelgeek. In case of any illegal activity regarding these services, all the responsibility falls
upon the Users that are involved in that particular exchange.You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password
restricting access to your account and you may never use another Member’s account without
the explicit permission of that particular user.
Novelgeek may allow Users to upload, publish, display, link to or otherwise post reviews,
comments, questions, highlights, and other information including Users’ names and likenesses.
You and you only are responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post User Content
that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual
property rights (including publicity rights), or otherwise injurious to third parties. Furthermore,
Novelgeek is not responsible in any way for the above mentioned harmful content put out by the
users. You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise
mislead as to the origin of content. You hereby represent that you are the owner of all the
copyright rights with respect to, or that you have the legal right to posts and your User Content.
Novelgeek reserves the right to monitor, reject and/or remove any User Content at any time.

6. Termination
We want Novelgeek to be a place where people feel welcome and safe to express themselves
and share their thoughts and ideas on books they read.
If we determine that you have clearly, seriously or repeatedly breached our terms or policies,
including in particular our community standards, we may suspend or permanently disable
access to your account. We may also suspend or disable your account if you repeatedly infringe
other people’s intellectual property rights or where we are required to do so for legal reasons.
Where we take such action we will let you know and explain any options you have to request a
review, unless doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our community of users;
compromise or interfere with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or
products; or where we are restricted due to technical limitations; or where we are prohibited
from doing so for legal reasons.
On the occasion of deletion of your account you will be notified by us with the reason and
methods to communicate with us for further inquiries. If your account is deleted or disabled, the
terms under this document will be terminated
