Hello,
I've been a happy Rutorrent user for ages. I've always used mod_cgi and Apache (currently: Apache 2.4.62 and x64 Ubuntu 24.10) but recently when I installed Rutorrent v5.1.5 the page doesn't display and I get the message: [2025-01-21 10:52:32] Bad response from server: (404 [error,list]) <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.4.62 (Ubuntu) Server at 10.10.10.1 Port 80</address> </body></html>
At the same time when I enable the httprpc plugin Rutorrent works normally. Has support for mod_cgi been discontinued from v5.xx or does it require a different configuration? If so, what configuration?
What are the advantages of the httprpc plugin over mod_cgi If rtorrent server and rutorrent are installed on the same machine? From what I know, mod_cgi consumes less resources.
EDIT:
My mistake. In the file /var/www/rutorrent/conf/config.php I had: $XMLRPCMountPoint = "rutorrent/RPC2";
and I should have: $XMLRPCMountPoint = "/rutorrent/RPC2";
After changing and restarting Appache mod_scgi works normally
