While looking for an answer to a question about how to change/disable the power-save setting on a Samsung/HP M2020W printer using CUPS (apparently not possible), I came across the ipp-usb Debian package.
The M2020W is a USB/WiFi printer with no network support ie: no ethernet port.
On one hand, I don't use wireless anything.
Old? Yes. 8^°
On the other, I have not been able to get the printer to connect to my ADSL modem.
It seems that (?) the toner reset chip in my reloaded cartridge has to do with that.
If I understood it's functionality correctly (?), a properly installed ipp-usb package would give me access to the printer via a browser. ie: like if it were a printer with network support.
Is this so or have I missed something/misread the description?
