The official installer/mod manager of the Open Star Ruler project, derived from the SR2 Mod Manager.

Features:

  • Can automatically install and update any version of OpenSR
  • Capable of seamlessly upgrading existing Star Ruler 2 installations to OpenSR (with one caveat)
  • Automatically downloads and manages Git-based mod repositories, and can reopen previously downloaded repositories directly from the file system
  • Lists all releases and branches of a repository, along with their description (if provided)
  • Clean and efficient installation process, much more modder- and user-friendly than ModDB downloads

In addition to all the functionality of SR2MM 1.2.0, the Launchpad features the following major upgrades:

  • Installer/updater functionality for OpenSR.
  • Support for multimod repositories. (Modders, review the Modder's Guide in the readme!)
  • Improved progress reporting.
  • Mod uninstaller.
  • Automated stripping of repository metadata when installing from improperly-structured repositories, minimizing installation times, drive overhead, and game performance impact stemming from the use of such repositories.
  • Added another mod info tab, reading descriptions straight out of a selected mod's modinfo file.
  • Switched to Kotlin! Granted, this is more significant for Dalo than it is for you.

At this time, standalone installation is only supported for Win64 OSes. Other users are advised to either build from source, or use the standard installation.
