Laminated Paper Airplane of a High-Wing T-tail Racer

Assembly Insructions

Tools

  • Scissors: A pair of scissors that cuts well
  • Ruler: To fold straight lines
  • (optional) Cutter (X-Acto Knife): Cut sharp corners easier than with scissors
  • (optional) Tweezers: Used to check Center of Gravity (CG) and assembly of smaller pieces

Materials

  • Paper: 200-300 gsm paper
    • 110 lb cover/cardstock (300 gsm)
    • 120 lb index or 80 lb cover/cardstock (216 gsm)
    • 110 lb index (199 gsm)
  • Glue: Clear fast drying
    • Duco Cement
    • Bostik Clear-bond

Printing

Either:

  • Download the Release file (Latest Release) in the paper size you need OR
  • Place Parts and Tools using vector art program (Inkscape, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, etc)
    • If a larger or smaller model is wanted, scale all parts and tools equally

Cutting Out Parts

Rought cut each piece, then trim each piece on the line. Do not cut the main wing backing to size. Fold on dashed lines

  • Glue fuselage parts (final order 7-5-3-1-2-4-6)
  • Glue main wing parts (8 & 9), aligning arrows
  • Glue horizontal stab (10) to fuselage assembly
  • Bend main wing to correct dihedral (using angle gauge)
  • Glue wing assembly to fuselage assembly
