+PM concerned over wellbeing of flood rescuers and volunteers
+September 15, 2024, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra expressed concern over rescuers and volunteers who have taken part in various missions, especially, rescuing people and animals, in flood-affected areas, and urged them to prioritize safety, exercise utmost caution in their operations, and have enough rest. She also thanked rescuers, volunteers, and all concerned personnel for the dedication, and commended their selflessness which has touched the heart of everyone. The Government has come up with a disaster response plan for risk areas and a rehabilitation plan for the affected areas where flood has begun to ease. These plans will be discussed at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
+The Prime Minister also expressed concerned over people’s health, and urged them to strictly follow the advices of Ministry of Public Health in taking good care of themselves and family members. Diseases that often come with flooding include leptospirosis, athlete's foot, pink eye, and, especially, diarrhea. Ministry of Public Health strongly advises the people to wash hands with clean water and soap or alcohol every time after touching dirty water and before eating and after using the bathroom, and supervise young children not to play in flood water. They are also urged to eat clean, hot, freshly cooked food, and wear waterproof boots if there is a need to wade through flood water.
+On flood situation in Chiang Rai, the Prime Minister was reported on the repair of water supply system (except in Mae Sai district) which was damaged by flooding in the province. Water services can now be resumed for local residents to clean up houses, whereas water for consumption should be supplied by today (September 16). As for water supply system in Mae Sai district, the Royal Thai Armed Forces has dispatched personnel to clear up sediments accumulated and aggregated over water treatment plant in the district. The plant should be fully restored and ready for services in 5-7 days.

+PM orders for immediate repair and restoration of roads and bridges in Chiang Rai
+September 14, 2024, following the order of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra for concerned agencies to immediately repair and restore roads and bridges in Chiang Rai after flooding in the province has eased and the situation has started to return to normalcy, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Suriya Jungrungreangkit has made a report on the related progress as follows:
+(1) Road surface cleaning on Highway 1 in front of Mae Sai border checkpoint; (2) Clearing of weeds that block the passage of the first bridge over Mae Sai River by Chiang Rai Highway District 1; (3) Water service resumed at Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital; (4) Delivery of water to Fort Mengrai Maharat Hospital; (5) construction of Bailey steel bridge on Highway 1338, Kha Yaeng-Pa Miang, at km 9+650, Chiang Rai Province; (6) construction of Bailey steel bridge on Highway 1093, Khun Huai Khrai-Pha Tang, at km 80+185, Chiang Rai Province; and (7) construction of Bailey steel bridge on Highway 1098, Tha Khao Pluek-Kaen Tai, at km 18+366-km 18+446, Chiang Rai Province.

+วันนี้ ( 16 กันยายน 2567) เวลา 12.10 น. ณ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล  นางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี ให้สัมภาษณ์กรณีนายจเด็ศ จันทรา ชนะการเลือกตั้งสส.พิษณุโลก เขต 1 พรรคเพื่อไทย เมื่อวันที่ 15 กันยายนที่ผ่านมา ว่า ตนเองได้โทรศัพท์ไปแสดงความยินดีกับนายจเด็ศ ซึ่งเห็นว่านายจเด็ศได้ลงพื้นที่หนักมาก ก็ขอบคุณและส่งกำลังใจไปให้
+ผู้สื่อถามว่า ผลการเลือกตั้งครั้งนี้สะท้อนความนิยมของพรรคเพื่อไทยที่มีมากขึ้นหรือไม่ นายกฯ กล่าวว่า ถือเป็นนิมิตหมายที่ดีที่พรรคเพื่อไทยชนะการเลือกตั้ง และนายจเด็ศ ก็ตั้งใจทำพื้นที่มาก รวมถึงการทำพื้นที่ก็มีความต่อเนื่องกับนโยบายของรัฐบาล ทำให้เกิดความเชื่อมั่นว่าสส. จะได้ดูแลประชาชนได้อย่างดี
