Evaluation Metrics

TEEHR currently includes a core set of metrics most commonly used for hydrologic model evaluation (NSE, KGE, RMSE, bias, r², etc.). These are a small subset of a very large list of possibilities that are used in practice or found throughout the literature. We would like to solicit input from the broader CIROH community to expand the list of metrics implemented in TEEHR to include those the community views as highest priority based on current and planned research. This Google Sheet contains a list of metrics that are either already included or being considered for inclusion in TEEHR. This list is still just a subset of the possibilities, but includes those we believe to be of highest interest based personal experience, a non-comprehensive lit review and discussions. We are hoping to use this discussion board to get input from the community (e.g. should any be removed from the list or given higher priority) and share your suggestions of others that should be added.

Note that we also understand the desire for users to be able to define less common or unique metric of interest 'on the fly' and are considering if and how that might work as well, without degrading performance.
