No-CD HDD Support #1
Comments
I plan to make a custom installer which will install the game without requiring the CD to play. |
Great! Thanks again! |
As for now you can just edit the registry or import this file:
edit e:\ to the drive where the game is installed: ToyStory 2 installed to E:\Game |
Thanks for the tip! |
Hiya guys, I am having the same issue - it is always convenient to launch this toy2.exe with no disk. It sucks as Gamescopyworld and others don't seem to have a no/cd patch for only this great game. Still coming up as an enumerate failed when I copy the setup folder from the disk to Toy Story 2 folder within Program Files, to attempt to launch with no disk inserted in D: drive. Will the above work (2018 above discussion fix) only by burning/copying all of the install disk files into an ISO - there has to be another way, right ? cheers. Update Manage to get this to work on the current secondary system for old gaming (vista); thanks to Capridogs Youtube Video. Many thanks to this thread/discussion people :D 💯 |
Hello,
A no-cd or HDD support would be really great because the game only rely on the letter where the game is installed by default which is something really annoying.
Since the audio is not in redbook form, there is no really interest having it inserted.
On the french release, I have to use the setup.exe from the disc to get the game playing, toy2.exe doesn't let me play directly despite having the game inserted or mounted through a software (toy2 is not correctly installed).
On the USA release, the game seems to not have thoses issues however.

Thanks!
