Assign Groups to a User

As a tenant administrator, you can assign one or more groups created for a specific tenant to a user via the administration console for SAP Cloud Identity Services.

Prerequisites

  • You have created user groups in your tenant. For more details how to create user groups, see Related Information.

  • You are assigned the Manage Users and Manage Groups roles. For more information about how to assign administrator roles, see Edit Administrator Authorizations.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the administration console for SAP Cloud Identity Services.

  2. Choose the User Management tile.

The system displays the first 20 users in the tenant sorted by their user ID number.

  3. Choose the user that you want to assign to a group or groups.

    Restriction:

The maximum number of groups assigned to a user is 500.

  4. Choose the Groups tab.

  5. Press the Assign Groups button at the bottom of the page.

  6. In the dialog box, select the group or groups that you want to assign to the user.
