This release involves a better version of source code for command line based prep tools, shapeworks-run and a new visualization tool. ShapeworksRun5.0 includes many bug fixes and a range of new features including adaptive time step based optimization, better handling of constraints - cutting planes and spheres and ability to run multiple domains per shape, as the most prominent ones. Sample batch scripts are included for Prep, Run and Post tools.

This is the latest stable release of Shapeworks command line tools.

OSX
Extract the tarball tar -xf ShapeworksCLT_1.*_osx.tar.gz
Read the LICENSE.txt and be sure you comply with the license agreement.
Run the tools as instructed on the main page https://github.com/SCIInstitute/shapeworks#running substituting the paths to the executables and example data with their actual locations.
You may have to Accept that you are running a program downloaded from the internet.
If the program still doesn't load, open "Settings-->Security" and push "Open Anyway" for ShapeWorksStudio.

Windows
Extract the zip by double clicking ShapeworksCLT_1.*_win64.zip
Read the LICENSE.txt and be sure you comply with the license agreement.
Run the tools as instructed on the main page https://github.com/SCIInstitute/shapeworks#running substituting the paths to the executables and example data with their actual locations.
You may have to accept that you are opening an unsigned program, such as:
"More Options-->Run Anyway".

Linux

  • NOTE : This binary was built on 64 bit OpenSuse 13.1. You may have to build your own binary if this one doesn't work for you.

This is a beta release of Shapeworks Command line tools. Included are Groom, Run and View2, along with needed DLLs for Windows.

Two data examples for testing the tools are also included in the packages.
