Getting Started

1. Create new project

   Run JInedit

   Choose File menu and click New command to create new project.

2. Create new floor property

   a) Choose File - Building Property menu and click Floor command.

   b) JInedit shows Floor Property Dialog.

   c) Click new button to create new floor property.

   d) After complete to edit floor level, 2 reference points, height of ground, ceiling, door and path of floor plan image, click OK button to save floor property.

3. Switch floor

   If you want to switch to other floor, select floor in combo box on toolbar at the upper right corner.

4. Create new SpaceLayer

   a) Choose Edit menu and click SpaceLayers command.

   b) JInedit shows SpaceLayers Dialog.

   c) Click new button to create new SpaceLayer.

5. Switch SpaceLayer

   If you want to switch to other SpaceLayer, select SpaceLayer in combo box on toolbar at the upper center.

6. Create new CellSpace

   a) Choose Edit - Create Item menu and click CellSpace command or click CellSpace button on toolbar.

   b) First, click left mouse button to add two points to panel.

   c) Second, add new point to line consist of two points.

   d) Next, add new point to existing line or drag points to construct geometry.

   e) Press Enter key to complete creating CellSpace.

7. Create new door(CellSpaceBoundary)

   Choose Edit - Create Item menu and click Door(CellSpaceBoundary) command or click Door(CellSpaceBoundary) button on toolbar.

   Add two points on wall of CellSpace to create a door.

   • In this version, there is a problem which CellSpaceBoundary of a door or wall can be only created on exactly horizontal or vertical wall.

8. Create new State

   a) Choose Edit - Create Item menu and click state command or click State Button on toolbar.

   b) Click mouse left button to add states.

   c) Press Esc key to complete creating state.

9. Create new transition.

   a) Choose Edit - Create Item menu and click Transition command or click Transition Button on toolbar.

   b) Select two states to create new transition.

   c) Press Esc key to complete creating transition.

10. Apply duality

a) Select a component(CellSpace, CellSpaceBoundary, State, Transition) to apply duality.

b) Click right mouse button and choose Duality, and select corresponding component(CellSpace - State, CellSpaceBoundary - Transition).

11. Create new InterLayerConnection

a) Choose Edit - Create Item menu and click InterLayerConnection command.

b) Select a state and press Enter key.(Multiple States can be selected using ctrl key.)

c) Select other state and press Enter key.(Multiple states can be selected using ctrl key.)

d) After select topology and edit comment, click OK button to complete createing InterLayerConnection.

12. Export to IndoorGML document

Choose Edit - Export menu and click IndoorGML command.

Select geometry type either 2D or 3D(Extrude) to generate IndoorGML document.
