I want to create my own dataset

Hello, I want to create my own dataset. Is there anything I need to pay attention to?
I found this function in the code

It doesn't seem to use the label information of the object
do I need to put the object in the center of the images,
I trained a model before ,loss has converged but the results didn't make sense
