<h1><strong>The Procedure</strong></h1>
<h2><strong>Real lab procedure</strong></h2>

<li>Connect Inductor, Battery, neon bulb, and key as shown in the figure. </li>
<li>Switch on battery 2 to 3 volt. </li>
<li>Close key K. </li>
<li>Observe neon lamp. </li>
<li>It does not light up (Inductor allows DC but here striking voltage of the neon lamp is 150 volts i.e, why the lamp does not light up). </li>
<li>Open key. </li>
<li>Observe neon lamp flashes. </li>

<h2><strong>Simulator procedure</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Click on the check box to show/hide the circuit diagram and connect the circuit. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the wire from the inductor towards the switch to connect it. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the wire from the switch towards the positive terminal of the battery to connect it. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the wire from the negative terminal of the battery towards the inductor to connect it. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the wire from the one end of the inductor towards one end of the neon bulb to connect it. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the wire from the other end of the inductor towards the other end of the neon bulb to connect it. </li>
<li>Select the Self-Inductance using the slider. </li>
<li>Select the change in current using the slider. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the key on to the switch. Observe neon lamp. </li>
<li>Drag and drop the key to remove it. Observe neon lamp. </li>
<li>Click on the show result button to observe the results. </li>
<li>Click on the inference button to study the observation. </li>
<li>Click on the reset button to redo the experiment with other values and study the trend. </li>
