  1. When we communicate internationally, it’s easier to use a reference time (zone) than all time zones.
    I’m using UTC.
    We can have a global vote on which time zone to use.

  2. What if we used it not only as a reference, but as the only time?
    Pick any time zone and think: When it’s 12 here, it’s 12 everywhere.
    I don’t feel I’d care if my computer showed any other time instead of the current 12. The Earth would move the same way.
    When I travel, I’d stop changing the time. If I fly for 2 hours, I’d feel I reach that place in 2 hours, not in 1 or 3.

  3. Anybody can use one time zone instead of one for half a year and the next one for the other half of the year.
    Or take only the step in section 2. It’s simpler.
