We can make a show about people walking across the world with a backpack.
They may swim.
Let's name it together!
"Walk the Earth"?
For how many days would you walk?
For some 30 days?
On which itineraries are we going to agree?
One could walk up to 1,000 kilometres in a month.
How many people would participate in a season?
3.1 We'd allow any number of people to participate in any season of this show. How many people would you like to see participating?
3.2 Each participant can cover any stretch during such a global trip.
Sol gives them points for kilometres travelled, for sleeping outdoors, for eating plant-based foods, etc. For what do you want to give them points?
We must agree with many governments on how the Sol crew and the participants will travel.
4.1 Participants can sleep outdoors, e.g. in tents, outside localities or in households.
4.2 We'd make sure that they drink safe water.
They can keep getting water from households.
4.3 We make sure that any wild foods that participants would eat are safe.
They can get food from marketplaces or from households for free or for money.
Communication
Participants may speak any languages. Their interactions with their hosts will be valuable anyway.
To the extent that they speak at least one language spoken in one of the regions they cross, they might make more enjoyable memories.
We provide translators that would help them to get permission to stay overnight on someone's ground, to get water and other resources, etc.
We can choose routes across regions with a common language or with a small total number of languages.
Safety
We'll organise these trips so that travellers stay safe.
We'll choose the safer routes.
Health
A medical team is going to serve travellers during the trips.
Prizes
We give most of the profit from making this show to the participants who make an entire trip. We distribute this share proportionally to the points given to them.
The profit is the difference between the applicable revenue from subscriptions and what we buy for making the show: water, food, accommodation, transportation, healthcare, insurance, language services, public services, etc.
You can ask us to make a documentary film e.g. about a region or an activity that you see in the show.
We could make a feature film with a story related to this show. For instance, we discover the story while making the show; someone might tell it (partly) on the show.
We can make a similar show, in which we'd allow people to ride animals and engineless vehicles.
