Doesn't work with Capacitor 3.0.0 RC.0

I know Capacitor 3.0.0 is still in RC, but would be nice if this plugin would have support for it in the future

I tried changing the version myself but there is other stuff underneath that breaks due to breaking changes in 11 -> 12 and forward (I believe)

Android

On Android I get this error that I am not sure how to solve

error: cannot find symbol

Any maintainer able to share future plans for this capacitor plugin? Is it still going to be actively maintained in future and/or is there a better known alternative out there? @sbannigan hope you don't mind the poke
