fix config missing "remove research category" issue

If possible, I'd like to avoid adding this config option back. The theorycraft category filter should already have almost everything needed to remove unused categories - all that is needed is to actually remove the categories that are not allowed by the filter.

You can either try this yourself, or I can do it later.
