Why $transclude Does Not Handle Empty Field in Conditional Output

The $view widget handles missing/empty field using a nested structure

<$view field="caption">
   <$view field="title"/>
</$view>

In the above example if field caption is empty or missing, then title will be displayed.

BUT for $transclude, this is not the case. $transclude only respects missing field, and for below example with empty caption, just shows nothing!!
