The state machine should have five states:

Idle: awaiting launch, no pid inputs
Ignition: motor ignition
Ascent: pid input begin, TVC actively controls rocket orientation, flight data begin recording
Descent: TVC deactivate and parachute deployed
Landing: flight data recording saved and ready for file transport
