A lot of things can be created with a cauldron. The standard brew is one thing.

However, there are two different kinds of brews, predefined brews, and custom brews.

To even create either however, you must first heat the cauldron, and fill it with water.

Predefined Brews

Predefined brews require a specific set of ingredients, and all must have one mandrake seed, to start with.

War Water: In this particular order, you will need a stack of 6 iron nuggets, a poisonous potato, rotten flesh, salt, and a piece of jasper. This brew, when thrown at a target, will inflict various horrible debuffs.

Tint Skin: In this particular order, you will need one piece of the dye you wish your skin to change color to, and netherwart.

Overcoat: In this order, this brew is created with 1 wool of bat, 1 tongue of dog, 1 silver scales, 1 tulsi, 1 dimensional sand, 1 iron nugget, and 1 netherwart. This brew reflects most damage. No, it won't save you from falling to your death.

Absence: In this order, this brew is created with 1 salt, 1 bone, 1 iron nugget, and 1 netherwart. This brew removes all brew effects, good or bad.

Custom Brews

Custom brews are not as limited, but require a mandrake root to start. However, to extend an effect, you can use redstone dust, redstone blocks, and quartz, with quartz being the most effective and allowing for the longest effects. To amplify an effect, add glowstone, glowstone blocks, or nuummite, with nuummite being the most effective, ramping it up to level 4. Dragon's Breath can create lingering brews, and Gunpowder can create splash brews. Note that you must amplify and extend the effect you put in first, before putting in another, if you wish to receive the full benefits of this system. Just watch out for the slim chance of it blowing up. To add color to a brew, use wool. Colors can be mixed. Note that due to the way color works for brews, each piece of wool has been given a rather seemingly strange oredict. For modpack and mod devs, do not remove them, otherwise the color system might break. To decrease the potency of an effect, use tourmaline or tourmaline blocks. To decrease the amount of time an effect lasts for, use coal, charcoal, or coal blocks.
