Steering Group
The role of the Steering Group is to provide a unified strategic direction and sustainability to the UV Community and to allocate Open Collective funds as appropriate.
Membership is currently restricted to those representatives of institutions contributing to the Open Collective UV fund but welcomes new members at all times. If you would like to be a member of the Steering Group please contact Sara Weale, Head of Web Design and Developement at The National Library of Wales webmaster@llyfrgell.cymru.

The groups responsibilities include:
- develop value proposition and a formal inter-institutional roadmap for Universal Viewer development
- ensure sustainability to allow shared ownership and diversity
- setting priorities for the allocation of the Open Collective funds received
- discussing development requests received through user stories
- discussing developments resulting from projects funded outside of the OC
Decisions discussed, minuted are given a window of opportunity for feedback from all stakeholders/community call (eg week/month) before final decisions are made.
- NLW - integrate UV with AtoM (www.accesstomemory.org) as part of the Archives Catalogue development work (archives.library.wales)
- Final value proposition document
- Release v3 of UV, v3.x with Webpack.
- Community Sprint #3 (config editor and docs)
- Transcriptions work completed (see #text channel on UV slack)
A group call is held every third Thursday of the month at 14:00 UTC (currently a Skype hosted by NLW - link provided on Slack channel)
