Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a cinema in i-simpa and have already measured the T30 and other room parameters in real life, so I know the actual acoustics of this space. I've spent time picking relevant absorption coefficient data but I'm still getting values that are unrepresentative of the actual T30. The 'classical theory of reverberation' i.e. Sabine/Eyring produces much more realistic results... I was wondering if anyone else had this issue or whether I'm doing something wrong?
The results I'm getting are around twice as long as the actual... and I don't understand how the classical and SPPS versions give such different results? I've got 1 million sound particles per source and using the energetic calculation method.
This seems to be a reoccurring issue as I've also tried using different models and get similar results.
TIA
Tom
