This project aims at developing a system that can detect and compute the heart rate without any contact with the patient. A toothless system has various advantages that are discussed further in this document. This project can also be considered as an extended example of face detection as libraries such as OpenCv is used to detect the face from which the heart rate is computed. Various input options are given to the user. That is, not only can the user check the heart rate on spot, the user can also upload a pre-recorded video of a person from which heart rate is calculated. This project aims at integrating technology and healthcare so that more people can enjoy the benefits.
