(Legacy) Gaitr Support Page

Gaitr is currently a tool for physical therapists to capture their patients' gait velocity and automatically generate a PDF with the relevant metrics associated with the Gait Velocity analysis.

The Gait Velocity test consists of a timed 10-meter walk at a normal pace with 2 untimed meters at the beginning and end of the test for acceleration and deceleration.

Gaitr offers two methods of measurement

  • Video camera (landscape mode)
  • Simple Stopwatch

If using the video camera method, it is expected that therapists remain in one position with the patient and the 10-meter stretch in the view of the camera. This makes the video much more reliable and removes several factors of uncertainty.

Upon capturing the patient's name, date of birth, and gait velocity, a PDF is generated for the therapist to use as a resource with the patient, as a document for the medical record, and finally, as a receipt for billing. This PDF will be sent to the logged-in user's email, which is expected to be the therapist.

No patient data is stored past the lifecycle of one (1) test. The therapists' email and password are the only data stored in the cloud.
