Quick note: the recommended column is purely subjective and I only use it as a means of answering the question "should/could/would you use it?" or "is there a viable use case or reason for this emulator to be used instead of another?" ❓ FAQ

Where can I download games?

Ideally you would dump games and firmware from your legitimately owned hardware. I don't support piracy and I won't engage in discussions of piracy here. This includes (but is not limited to) piracy of emulators, piracy of software for use in emulators, etc. This is not a preference, it is to avoid legal issues.

Keep in mind that piracy and dumping software for your own use are 2 different things. One is legal in most jurisdictions, and the other is not. I am not a lawyer, but there is a difference in definition. Contact your lawyer if you need further information.

Can you give me personal help with emulator setup, dumping games and software, or other things?

I am always willing to help people in need if I have the knowledge and experience to help. However, I spend a lot of time/energy on various projects and helping people with sometimes very technical things for free in my spare time. I am currently unemployed and have been for several years. I'm not here to tell you my life story or anything, but since I take a lot of time out of my own personal free time to create educational resources and work on community projects, it would be nice if you could to either send me a little tip or at the very least spread the word about my resources and projects.

I intend on making YouTube videos to help people with setting up emulators and other things at some point. When that happens, I will add relevant links here.

Also, to help people trying to help you, please at least show you put in some effort to try and fix your issues like searching around the internet and reading documentation/official websites/etc before asking for help, and please provide as much information as you can before trying to get assistance.

Please do not open issues for anything other than issues with the project itself. If it is deemed off-topic or unrelated, they will be locked and closed.
