India has the largest adolescent population in the world. Estimates from the 4th National Family Health Survey indicate that 11.8 million teenage pregnancies occured in India.
Birth in teenage is a major risk factor for adverse pregnancy outcomes and has a significant negative impact on the future wellbeing of infant as well as mother.
Scared of these outcomes, they often take steps which are ethically and legally unfair.
To overcome the above problems and provide these troubled teenagers a way to solve their troubles, we have come up with a solution of building a website called SAHARA.
The Sahara-Teenage Pregnancy Counseling and Guidance Website is an online platform that aims to provide support and guidance to teenage girls who are pregnant or at risk of becoming pregnant.
The website will feature a range of resources, including blogs, stories, reviews, counseling services, doctor consultations, financial aid for victims, a fundraising section, a login and register page, and an "about us" page. In addition, the website will have a dedicated Q&A page to address frequently asked questions and concerns of teenage girls.
Most of the pages of our website are responsive and can be adjusted according to the device size.
Realtime email support is available to establish communication between user and other parties.
We have used firebase to store data of user and other parties in the backend which provides safe signin and security support.
We will increase the database of doctors and consultants working in collaboration with us by actually visiting different offices and promoting our website.
We also plan to further expand the website in the financial and donate sector so that we can actually verify which user is in need of these services and will be benefitted by them.
We plan to further survey the victims of such cases so that we can broaden your views and overcome if we are missing something.
