mu4e-email-setup

mu4e is using mu [[https://github.com/djcb/mu/]]

inside of emacs. This is an example setup for multiple accounts using the 2017 mu4e-contexts feature.

types of accounts setup:

• regular gmail

• hosted gmail

• regular outlook.com

• hosted office365

• Yandex.com (tricky tls setup)

• Mail.ru (tricky tls setup)

  • init.el
  • ~/.msmtprc
  • ~/.mbsyncrc - the config file for isync
  • testing
    • chmod +x /usr/local/bin/testemail
    • testemail

A complete working setup for mu4e is split among at least 3 config files, the emacs config, the getting new mail, and the sending mail. Here I get mail with the isync package, I prefer it to offlineIMAP.

sending is msmtprc
receiving is mbsyncrc
emacs is init.el or .spacemacs (user-config)
testing is /usr/local/bin/testemail
