Here ADDA has complex behavior (§11.1 in the manual) - the default mode depends on -surf. Perhaps in ADDA this will change over time (adda-team/adda#170). It is suggested in the GUI to make three options: default, beam frame, lab frame. In the case of default, after the switch, you need to write in parentheses what actually turns out depending on other options. For the default propagation, this will be yz-plane or xz-plane (although in some cases, none). For another propagation - "yz-plane in beam frame" or "through propagation direction and yz in lab frame" (and eventually we can start drawing these planes on a 3D picture).
