Cannot view SSL links

If I load up a page with a SSL download of a file (e.g. a Syllabus for university from blackboard), the extension can't preview that document. Example link: here. I am, however able to use a different extension that while it cannot directly view the file either, can forward it into my google drive for local viewing. Would it be possible to add support for such links? It would make traversing the horrible blackboard site an order of magnitude less annoying. (the other extension I have uses bad UI so I would much prefer this one)
