Issue seems to appear only in recent GitHub Mac build environment; can not repro locally

Closing. Looks like this was actually in issue in Rust cc crate (rust-lang/cc-rs#902). Now that the 1.0.84 version has been yanked, this issue appears to be gone. 🙏 |
