Description

video
I will upload a video which showcases the issue. Everything is jittering and sometimes even the picture gets a black frame. To be honest there are so many issues it's hard to describe them all. Just watch the video and you can see everything. Please make the 20.11 version downloadable on the vision pro or every vision pro user will be unable to use this software.

General Troubleshooting

  • I carefully followed the instructions in the README and successfully completed the setup wizard
  • I read the ALVR GitHub Wiki

@shinyquagsire23 This should be fixed in the latest vision pro release, right?

20.11.0 streamer should be usable with the 20.12.1 client just released

True, this resolved the hand tracking issue, however it has resulted in another issue.

  1. Every 30 seconds, sometimes several times in an a row, my character jumps out of space, about 1 km high, or he glitches, resulting in strange artifacts, as shown in the video. It works now, however the odd glitches make it difficult to enjoy VR.
  2. Another issue: even when I look straight, my entire view glitches for one frame; this occurs frequently. Not all the time, but it happens frequently and consistently in each playing session.

Should I open a new thread for that?

tbh I've noticed 2 (I think, it looks like an old frame randomly appears, but just for a single frame right?). I think both 1 and 2 deserve separate issues (and maybe some testing to see if it's a client-side bug or a streamer-side bug, in theory we can check older streamers now).

I'll also add that I've seen 2 on both my Quest 3 and AVP, so it's either client_core or a streamer bug.

2 appeared since I can remember using the vision pro. This doesn't seem to be a new bug for me. If I turn off experimental render in the vision pro app, it works slidely better, it seems that the first issue doesn't appear. However, without the experimental render, I sometimes see my real world even though that I am in vr chat for example.
