Aakash is a low cost computing device/tablet for students, the project is initiated and funded by MHRD, Govt. of India. It comes pre-installed with Android 4.0 bundled with many educational apps developed at IIT Bombay. Please refer to androportal for some of the apps.

To write(dd) image on an 8GB sdcard, you may use a graphical tool ddMaker-1.0.1.all.deb
