I connect to my devices via Tailscale VPN and they are not autodetected.

How I used to do it with GSConnect was by adding them by IP. But that option does not seem to be available in Valent.

I might have a similar use case where this is needed.
I have installed Valent nightly flatpak on these devices:

  1. Librem 5 linux phone. Connected to wifi 192.168.50.XX/24
  2. Laptop running sway. Connected to wifi 192.168.50.XX/24
  3. Desktop running sway. Connected to ethernet 192.168.51.XX/24 (The .51 part differs from .50 in wifi)

Connections between 1. and 2. over wifi works fine, bet neither sees the desktop on the ethernet subnet.
All port are open between wifi and ethernet.

Is the "Searching for devices..."-implementation looking in other subnets? Would it help to add an IP manually on a different subnet?

I'm not sure that would help you cross subnets, the mDNS support probably won't either.

I also need this feature. On my home network, I have separated subnets for WiFi and wired. The subnets are routed (so I can ping WiFi devices from wired devices and vice versa), but I need a way to specify IPs on Valent.
