In order to get TypeScript linting messages in the editor, install the tslint extension in Visual Studio Code.

code --install-extension eg2.tslint

The community project Codelyzer brings a lot of rules that help us to follow the official Angular Style Guide. We need to install codelyzer manually:

npm install --save-dev codelyzer

To bring everything together we need to configure TSLint to use the codelyzer rules plus some additional rules. Create the following tslint.json in the project root folder:
