I appreciate the plugin's capabilities, and I have a feature request to enhance its functionality. Currently, the plugin allows users to configure a directory structure for new book notes, which is great. However, I'd like to suggest an extension to this feature. In addition to specifying a base folder structure for book notes (e.g., /Books/Author/Highlights)
This new structure would include three levels:
'Books': This top-level directory would contain all authors.
'Author': Within each 'Author' folder, you would find all their books.
'Highlights': This folder would serve as a placeholder for all highlights across all books.
I am a fan of the Obsidian approach, particularly the concept of fleeting, literature, and permanent notes. However, I believe that maintaining a hybrid approach with a lightweight directory structure (/Books/Authors/Highlights) on the filesystem can be beneficial. This structure helps organize notes and avoid topics, etc for little cost as its self organising.
Currently, I manually set up the above structure and use Book Search in conjunction with Quick Add and Templater plugins to add automatically atomic highlights. If this directory structure configuration could be integrated into the Book Search plugin's settings as a first step, it would be a significant improvement for other workflows. The Quick Add plugin when using templates allows users to select subfolders for the creation of notes I use this to select the correct authors/highlight. I then use some JavaScript to list and select the correct book and populated the highlight with a template with backlinks.

Anyway thanks for listening.
